eVGA 680i + 8800 SLI + Sound = Problems?

I just ran across this thread over at XS and was wondering if anyone here had seen it yet? Has anyone with a eVGA 680i and a 8800 SLI setup run into this problem?

Wow, thanks for the heads up...I think I'll wait on getting a second 8800GTX now as I just ordered the eVGA 680i board. Hopefully they will fix it soon.

d@mn, ~$1400+ worth of m/b and gpus = no sound....they better get this fixed asap

reinstall your directX (october redist) after you installed sound and video drivers.

voila' problem solved.

Update: Supposedly tomorrow a beta BIOS will be availble as a fix.
