did you notice in the bios setup that tey suggest an agp aperture size of 4mb??
i was stupid enoug t try it and the ting wouldn't even get 30 secs into wings of fury, lol.
e, no harm i guess, fixed it up to 256.

on another note, what is "frames rendered ahead" in coolbits proper setting?

the default is 3 i guess, is that where i should keep it?

 
That would be a reference to "buffering".

As in...

Triple buffering or double buffering, etc etc.

Have you adjusted it off the default?

Have you experienced issues?

Most users don't need to adjust that value.

As your screen is displaying the image, the computer is already working on the next image to be displayed. It must do this, or the screen you were seeing would have strange things happen to it. Once it has finished drawing, it jumps to that second image that the computer made. As it does this, another image is being created and so on.

This of course is a greatly simplified explanation.

I'm certain others can explain buffering better.

thank you gentle, i haven't ever changed it before, but was curious. i guess setting it too high would drown my relatively weak cpu, right?
