eVGA 6800GS - powers down to prevent damage

Hi, I have a 500W SMPS but when I boot my machine I get a warning message from the video card claiming due to lack of power it is powering down to prevent damage.
I have the A8N SLI Premium mobo.

I know this is a stupid question,but do you have the power hooked up on your vid card?
And if you do,is it alone on it's own line?
