eVGA 6800 LE and NV 5 Silencer

I have an eVGA 6800 Limited Edition, one of the underclocked 6800 Ultra's, and I was wondering if anyone has tried putting a NV 5 Silencer on it. From what I've read from other websites, there have been some problems installing the NV 5 onto some of the Ultra boards and I really don't want to void the warranty and then fvck up my card.

If the NV 5 doesn't work, are there any other quieter solutions because, honestly, the fan on my card sounds like a vacuum.
 
Some NV Silencer 5's recieved from newegg didnt include the backplate required. A friend of mine had to call up the company, they shipped him the backplate and all was good. But to be honest man, I know first hand that even if you install the silencer on your ULTRA its only gonna drop temps by 3-5 degress.
 
I'm not too worried about the performance. I just hate how loud the thing is (I can literally hear it 10 feet outside my room with the door closed). I guess I'll go ahead and order one right away. Thanks!
