Circuit City's Price Guarantee states that it is only for local stores though, has anyone been able to price match another online store recently with a print out?

Wow, the OP PMed online to online. Maybe someone can PM this to TD for an evern greater deal. Even at that price I might pick it up. MIGHT is the key word.

I was browsing through many different sites and it seems like EVGA has different model numbers for the same product to different vendors.

I guess it's a way to keep poeple from pricematching. Check Microcenter. Their product item number is different as well from what I saw.
Check outpost too.

The only thing is even though someone got an email from EVGA, I want to be definitely sure that I wont be jipped $50 bucks from using the step up program.
Cuz that would suck major bolas.

From what I understand, the only difference in the AX, DX, LX, or TX models is the 'retail' packaging type. The hardware is exactly the same.

Oh, the AX, DX, and LX also have lifetime warranties. The TX has a 1+1 warranty.

I guess you pay more $ at other places for the warranty. I just went and bought one at CC. I'll update you on my PM skillz. 😀

I almost got a PM until the girl notice that I couldnt pick the item up in store from best buy. So no go. (Pembroke Pines, Florida)

Was this a B&M store or did you call up the CSR?

........As a disclaimer, eVGA may deduct the $50 rebate from the invoice. This has not been confirmed yet.

Count on it.

They'll notice the missing UPC code and will ding you 15% restocking fee if you don't acknowledge rebate upfront.

Hi Ruben,
Yes, you are still eligible for the Step-Up program and you will not be charged for the missing UPC.

Hi,
I have a quick question about STEP-UP program:

The UPS code is cut out from my box due to mail-in rebate.
Am I still eligible for the step-up program ?

thank you for your time

I'll make a note. I am currently in the middle of a stepup with evga and had to fax in a copy of my invoice and rebate form in order to avoid what I was told would be a 15% restocking fee for any missing item, i.e. UPC code.

I just shipped my video card to them without caring about the rebate, even though the box has a missing UPC code.... So far they've shipped out the card to me without making me pay extra 🙂.

those of you who are trying this deal, were are you located? im in upstate NY and all "3" B&M CC stores in my location say "not carried" for avalibility. I would be all over this if there was a way for me to get it.

For those of you who this deal is avalable to, use this Image for the PM, link -> BB_6600GT_Instock_Image

EDIT: even if the BB near you is out of stock, i would try it anyway if i were you... because iv PM'd stuff at CC in the past, and depending on the CSR you get, sometimes they dont even call to check for avalibility.... even a few managers iv delt with PMed without checking avalibility.

EDIT: also forgot to say... becuase i know how ppl at my CC locations generally operate, IF i could get the deal, i would not try PMing this untill the Rebate promo was over witch is after 4/29/06.

At my CC locations, the manager is almost always at the CSR desk, so i almost only have 1 chance of PMing anything. But if you location is different, and you know you can try PMing with different CSR People running the CSR desk... then you might as well try it now, and if it fails, try again after the promo is over.

Even if BB no longer has the same price as currently advertized you can still try after the Rebate promo is over... In the past i PM'ed a couple Gigs of DDR333 at CC to BB one time with the online print out, even though it was a day or two after the BB ad was over and they had been long out of stock.

EDIT: if your CC location is one like mine were the manager is always at the CSR desk, or always manages PM's... then do not try PMing twice, just wait till the promo is over... becuase at my location, i can no longer PM sertain items (i never ever tryed PMing during the promo period), but other people must have... alerting the managers to rebate/pm scams, witch they now no longer let me PM even after the promo. So if your location is like mine, just dont PM b4 the promo is over.

EDIT02: the CC stores at my location may be larger then a lot of the ones you guys are at(maybe). so maybe(hopefully for you) there may not be as many sub managers for the different departments watching this stuff.

Another tip is to try to PM in the evenign when maybe the HS ppl are working. 🙂

I'm in Twin Cities, MN.

SUCCESS! I walked into the store with the above picture and my receipts and told them it's cheaper at that place, and the friendly girl CSR said "We'll just have to pricematch that," and a few mins later, I walked out with the PM. No questioning, no bickering, nothing. I'm a happy customah today! 😀

still no luck man. the girl checked best buy website again.

i just bought it since i had a $75 GC. Going to try again tomorrow for the pm.

hahaha i found the same card for $129.99 w/out rebates @ tigerdirect. so i drove to the store and got it and i m going back and PM-ing it to the $129 from tiger direct store.

So... you have to buy at CC first, wait a lil, and come back saying that you found it cheaper else where? you cant have them pm before the purchase is made?
EDIT: the link to the cc site died, and i cant find 6600gt on there either.

You can, but you stand a better chance of getting denied as the CC card has rebates.

Yes indeed, TD has it here. Great PM potential if you haven't yet.

Tell us how it goes. 🙂

They gave me some BS run around that they can't pricematch to TigerDirect Outlet Stores because its an outlet store and they are going out of business. Where in their policy states that they will price match to any local store that has the item in stock. After fighting with them on that, they went ahead and said that the item was clearanced, mean special offer/promotions, so they cant pricematch. In that case, every single item thats lower than their price can be consider special promotion or offer then. This gave me a headache and I will surely never purchase from them, going to return the card. Its shady business and thats why they are getting stomp by BB.
