eVGA 6600GT compatibility on BF2

Hey guys,

I just bought BF2 and wanted to run it on my ATI Radeon 7500 (yea yea... whopping 64mb of gaming pleasure). It doesn't work- after I install it and attempt to launch it, the "Battlefield 2" screen comes up and then my screen goes black and returns back to normal Windows. I tried to launch it on a bunch of different resolutions without any success. I'm assuming the problem is my video card doesn't support it.

My question is, has anyone else had this sort of problem? I purchased an eVGA 6600GT from Monarch a few days ago and I'm not sure if its supported. The BF2 support site says that BF2 only supports the PCIe 6600GT whereas I'm still running on AGP. Is anyone else running BF2 on an AGP 6600GT? Thanks for the help

Cool. As far as that blacking out and returning to windows problem... Has anyone seen that before or have any idea how to remedy it?

BF2 doesnt support those old school video cards. 😉

Radeon 7500 = old school? =(

Damn nVidia for making cool new technology that outdates what was once a pretty decent card.
