You can pretty much get a used 580 for this price, I'd suggest looking on FS/FT forums. That will have 1.5gb of vram and should be enough for 1080p.

Why spend that kind of money on such an old card when better stuff is so close. 7950 will blow either of those away and kepler mid range parts might not be far off. If you dont need a card now I would wait.

I would wait for Kepler, but I've been waiting for months. I would rather buy now and SLI when card prices fall because of Kepler being released.

Yeah i know, Sometimes I question my reasoning too. I'm seriously torn between these two cards. I could spend that $35 on games at a later date, or I could future proof and get the slower 2gb card.

for 1080p, stick with the 1280mb a regular gtx 570 offers and just find the cheapest one and overclock it. I wouldn't buy an overclocked card unless it was cheaper than the rest.
