Earlier plans to abandon the traditional naming policy and give upcoming two-doors a 4 Series nomenclature have been torpedoed by marketers.
Torpedoed... Does that mean BMW isn't going with it? Or does it just mean marketers really friggin' hate it.

i thought they were gonna keep the coupes the 4-series but the M version will be called the M3 for both coupes and sedans??

Who wrote that article? Chris Bangle? Man, the guy who wrote that must be friggin' blind or a BMW whore.

Mazda RX-7
Mazda MX-6
Ferrari 360 Modena
B5 Audi A4

The coupe will definitely be called the M3; I don't think they've announced a sedan version at this point. BMW says the M3 name is too iconic to get rid of, and I can't say I blame them.

All Small time sellers. I think BMW has a pretty good product here then since you don't like it.🙂

Okay, since you asked. In this class I like the Infiniti G35 coupe, I also like the Mercedes C-class, I think the Jaguar X-Type looks much better (although, I think the S-Type is soooo much sexier). Hell, I'd take a Subaru Legacy GT or a Chrysler 300C over this ugly beast.

wow, you guys are so critical of anything that isn't Lexus 😛 I think it looks okay. It's no Porsche 911, but I think it looks pretty good. I'd take one if I could afford it 😀

I think it looks good and I don't even really care for BMWs. I think the new 5 series looks good also. The new 7 did really suck.

The previous generations looked fine, but some of you guys really got to let go of some of the old stodgy looking designs (coughE36cough). Otherwise, you'll end up like Ornery and think every new car looks like ass 😛

The tail-lights are not good at all, but I really like the rest of the car. Very aggressive and the glowering front end is simply beautiful.

Say what you all want about Bangle, but at least he's not churning out those crap designs that Nissan and Toyota have been shoving down our throats lately.

Wow are we different.🙂 Infiniti G35 coupe looks like a Bug/Beatle that was smushed down in a compactor then elongated. C-class looks cheap, like they copied from the japanese, toyota not even lexus, instead of usual way. Jaguar X-Type, now were getting somewhere, I like the hood lines leading to headlights but the round rear makes it looks like a womans car or just an like old jag which is'nt "a good thing". Subaru Legacy GT?? Maybe for a coed but then I forget the age here but you're a guy right? Cheap cheap cheap. Anyway all your choices but the jag are so small i'd be very scared to drive any of them.

1. BentlyContinental GT
2. Dodge Magnum
3. Lincoln Town Car
4. BMW 745Li
5. Lexus GS

Have you driven the new Legacy GT? I have. I test drove a 5 spd manual equipped car with the 2.5l turbocharged engine a few weeks ago. It is a very impressive car. I don't think the quality of materials used on the interior are on par with the German cars but it is still a really impressive car. 250hp and all wheel drive!

You been smoking crack lately? Bentley? Yeah, I like the Ferrari Enzo more than a Toyota Corolla.
