I had one last night. I thought it was pretty good, but the shell seemed thinner and more flimsy than a regular taco. I figured that's why it was in the cardboard sleeve.

Hmm, mine didn't come in a sleeve, just some white Doritos taco wax paper. I also agree that the taco had too much sour cream, I think it may have been there to tone down the salt taste.

Me and my wife each had 4 of them the day they were out. There is nothing great about it but nothing bad. I am a Dorito freak and I can eat the whole bag. When I bit into the new Dorito-Shell Taco there was no spark that I normally get when I eat a Dorito chip. When I bite that first Dorito chip my whole body and brain gets that spark to each the whole bag and not stop. I did not get that same when eating the Dorito-Shell Taco.

What they need to do is add more flavor to the shell the same as the Dorito chip, there was no spark for me.

Remember, some day, all restaurants will be Taco Bell.

Hmm, kind of sound like an addiction... :hmm:

We have all these threads about pink slime & crappy ground beef, and then people rave about how "good" Taco Bell is - serving food cheaper at a price cheaper than good dog food? Makes no sense to me.

TB is pretty good, who cares how much it costs? If it's tasty it's tasty.

Just needs to turn on the right receptors and trigger the right parts of the brain...

Wasn't that in an episode of Max Headroom?

BTW, you want artery hardening, try Tostitos Salsa de Queso with some Cool Ranch Doritoes....

I had it once, and it was great, but I felt so bad later. I don't think I can ever have it again.....

The biggest problem with fast and crap food is that its deliciousness is so well designed that it can be addicting. Lots of lard asses are literally shit food addicts who push worse and worse food into their gullets.

Practically anything can become compulsive, and since one's diet is such a basic part of life it can easily follow a terrible path into fried starches with way too many sugars and salts.

Here's a tip to the reviewer.....don't eat FOUR of them! Get 1 or 2 of these tacos then finish up with a light chicken burrito or something if you are still hungry. It's just chicken and rice inside a soft shell.

A $75 9oz filet mignon might taste awesome, but if I ate 4 of them I'd probably feel like crap too. Idiots.....

This seems like one of those things thats good in theory, like KFC's double down, but something I wont try. Kinda awesome that something like this exists.
