if you can come up with a better combo for less than the 196.99 here from newegg please let me know, as this is a budget system my friend is building he is gettting pc2100 most likely, and so far an unknown 300 watt power supply and i think the thermaltake volcano5 HSF

is there anything you would change, but still keep the price low?
 
Volcano 6cu copper from Newegg $10 4550 rpm fan...will keep that cpu socket under 40C at 32C case temp. It does with my 1600+ Palomino on a MSI KT3 Ultra2 mobo.
1700+ from newegg $47

If you have $200 you have $71 left to work with.
You don't want a AK32A. Trust me.
You can get a bunch of KT333 or KT400 motherboards for under say $80. Try MSI or EPox at newegg. they have a couple for $75 to $78.
Also look for a Soltek KT400 board link $74 or a MSI KT3 Ultra 2 (KT333) on Text for $71. That Soltek is a hellava board.

If you are really cheap and willing to take a chance look at the refurbed boards on newegg.

As for the 1700+ it can be replaced later or OClocked.
