If I were willing to spend $170 on a PSU, it sure as blazes wouldn't be a Fortron.
Not for that kind of moola.

Look into the new Corsair 620W unit. It lists for $170, you might find it cheaper in a few
weeks. It is built by Seasonic and it appears to be the new semi-modular M12 platform.

Froogle: Corsair CMPSU-620HX It will be more plentyfull and cheaper in two weeks.

Do you really NEED that kind of power? Are you going Crossfire or SLI??

For a VG, cheap 600W unit buy an Enhance ENS-0560G for $110. It's the EXACT
same unit as the Silverstone ST60F. Thier one negative is 74% efficiency.
Combined 12V is 42A, with 45A peak.

If you realize that 600~700W is overkill. Look at the Silverstone Element units at
http://www.silverstonetek.com/ The 500 watt units have a combined 12V of 35A,
with a peak of 38A. The Elements are Enhance built. Good stuff.

I will do sli/crossfire in the future. I chose a high watt psu so i would never need to upgrade that again.

i wouldn't bother with the x-fi - the mobo you're looking at has the excellent realtek ALC 882M audio, which among other things includes dolby digital live for driving digital speakers. CPU usage is also extremely low.

also, considering the e6600 is so hard to get right now, if you end up deciding to go with, say, an e6400, a P965 chipset will probably give you better overclocks. with the e6600 stick with 975X though.
