Pussy. You can start with your own body's resistance in the comfort of your dorm room or apartment, whatever. When I started working out years ago I literally used paint cans and a broom stick and walked around with 100lbs of rocks in a backpack.

I can. It's not impressive or even relatively decent. If I was doing at least 185 then I'd be marginally impressed with my weight and height.

Hahaha. As someone who is much stronger and bigger than you, I KNOW you're pulling this out of your ass. When I started lifting, benching 100 was tough. Looking at your arms, I'd be surprised if you could even bench 50lbs.

I didn't want to call him out on it, but yeah same thing. When I started benching I was only doing reps of 100 and it took me a couple months to work up to 150. Now that I've stopped lifting I doubt I could even max 100 anymore.
 
Can't help it. I got less than 4 hours of sleep last night(very shitty sleep, and it's been like this for a few days too) and I haven't been able to eat much in the past few days. If there was an option in my brain to stop that, I would... but I don't have the option.

Joining a gym will find me more people, but I rather find someone at my school. I'll probably just go into the gym and ask some of people who oversee the place if they know anyone who is looking for a partner.

You dont need a spotter if you use dumbbells.

Anyway, I can max 150lbs for bench (That includes the bar which is 45lbs). That means I can rep it once and that's the highest weight I can rep. It's still very little, even for someone who doesn't work out at all. I know there are guys out there who can barely bench the bar a few times(45lbs). I was like that when I was in 9th grade and hadn't even gone all the way through puberty yet. 😛

I'm thinking that as well, I really don't see that as being possible. My old roommate is built just like he is and could barely do one at 100

It'd be weird recording a shitty 150lb bench press though.
 
I rep about 140 lbs 8-9 times in 3 sets and I'm a pretty big dude. My guess is you can maybe do two reps of about 150 lbs , but you will likely do them incorrectly by arching your back or keeping the bar uneven. At your size, you should concentrate on as many reps as possible and eat as much as possible.

You're never going to be a 200 lbs muscle bound guy, but you will get cut.

Why not just do 135? That's a lot simpler. 😛 It's just 1 45 on each side... Idk, maybe your weights are weird.

As a long time lurker, I had to come out to call you on your bullshit here. I will paypal you $20 if you can do a 150lb bench press with proper form.
 
I'll add $20 on top of his $20 if you post a video of a correctly performed flat benchpress at 150lbs for 1 repetition.

Conditions:

Ass must stay on the bench.
No arch. (You don't need it for that weight anyway)
Feet on the floor.
Start fully extended with no aided "lift-off" from spotter.
Descend to at least 3 inches above your nipples.
Pause briefly. (No bouncing)
Lock out with zero assistance.

Make sure we can see these things from the video.
