Every time you take a drink you're killing off a bit of your brain. Screw that. I know most of ATOT (as opposed to P&N)relies on their brain more than anything else for their own well being, so why hurt it in order to have fun when you can have just as much fun doing other things. You'll be safer, it'll be a hell of a lot cheaper, and you'll actually remember it.
Almost all of the bad decisions/things my sister has done in her life is when she was drunk. My grandmother and grandpa are alcoholics, and she's heading down that path too..yet she can't seem to let up because it's the only way she knows to have fun now. I don't know the last time she actually went out with friends without drinking; and it's that way for a lot of late teenagers/early twenties people. It's ridiculous.
You don't have to drink to get smashed every night, and obviously that's a pretty efficient way to ruin your life
I don't know how old you are, or what kind of background you come from, but the vast majority of my friends, family, and colleagues enjoy a quiet drink every now & then.
Most of those people are successful white collar professionals, and I can't see any evidence that alcohol is ruining their lives or careers. It's not going to turn you into a dribbling retard either, whatever you may think.
Just because members of your family are alcoholics, or appear to have a clear disposition to alcoholism, doesn't mean that most of society shouldn't be allowed a glass of red wine with dinner
Just because something has the potential for abuse doesn't mean you have to prohibit it, otherwise you'd have to ban anything with a sharp edge, or indeed allowing anyone to get out of bed every day.
its like cars should be illegal cause you definitely can go over 100 mph in school zones...
