Does everyone here just use Kazaa as their source of ripping music/files, or do you use something different? What do you like the best? What are your thoughts? Any imput is sweet!

Blubster kicks the living crap out of kazaa for music!

Nix that, I don't want to help someone pirate and steal music. It might seem "cool" to be screwing over the RIAA, but in reality you are really screwing over the artist. If their albums don't sell, then they get dropped by their label and won't be able to create music anymore for you to listen to.

I hate it when people say that. You probably learned how to use it from someone else. Just be nice to a newbee and help him out. I kinda know how to use irc, but i wish someone actually taught me how to use it first. I think that most people on the forums here are capable of using it... but it makes it a heck of a lot easier if you're taught.

go here and d/l mirc which is an irc client
next you have to goto the various servers, such as dalnet, undernet, efnet and so on
then you can do the '/list' command to bring up all the channels for the particular server and each channel has different commands and steps to get the files from them so i cant help u there.
if u want to search for files go use this site linky
other than that i cant really help much more.

Look man, (read: [LikeLinus]) you're on crack. People buy albums if they like the artist. My friends and I own every damn Pink Floyd album there is (well, post Syd anyway). I wouldn't have a ripped Floyd album to save my life. But on the same hand, if I gotta buy the whole PearL jam album for one song, <^>'em. I"ll just use Kazaa, or whatever else. In the case of Pearl Jam, it wouldn't be hurting anyone be/c they've put out mostly crap forever now anyway

No matter how shitty their music is. No one has any right to steal it. If your going to steal music, don't bother defending what you did. Its illegal. I do download music illegaly, but do you see me running around going 'Look at me! I stole from the RIAA! w00t! I am so cool!"
