I check out my download speed at [l]www.dslreports.com[/l] and am getting 700kbps/sec. I check my brother's computer, a Amd K6 system, and he is getting around 1000kbps/sec. This is also the same speed all the other computers in my house is getting. Dslreports also show that people in my zip code is getting between 1300-1900 kbps/sec.
What I would like to know is that how can the other computers on my home network has a faster download speed when they are not even tweak?!? I am using Win2k and they are using Win98se. The computers are networked using a SMC Barricade router. If there are any information that you guys need, just ask.
EDIT: I test the speed on each computer several times and I consistenly getting lower speed than computers in my house no matter what type of tweaking I use while their system remains untweak.
