Every time McGwire speaks i lose more respect for him. . .

why isn't there talk about putting an asterisk by his record? (most HR's in one season). he was just as clearly on Roids as Barry was.

btw, McGwire, quit whining about what reporters write about you. quit saying you don't want to talk about the past. IF you admit it, mb we'll let you stop talking about it, but as long as you don't come clean, why should reporters leave you alone?

because, your pathetic "why don't we put an asterick beside his record" comment sort of made everyone realise this is nothing but a troll post.

btw, if you are going to "QUOTE" me you moron get it right.

i never say "why don't we put an asterick(which you can't even seem to spell) . . .". i said "WHY ISN'T THERE TALK . . ."

there is a BIG DIFFERENCE.

Are you making multiple replies to somehow keep this bumped, hoping people will start to participate in a discussion that was overdid a few years ago already?

McGwire does not have that record. . .

How do you KNOW Mcgwire was on steroids? He wasn't all puffy like Sammy Sosa and Bonds. He hit home runs his whole career, and didn't start jacking lots of them a few years before he was done.
Mac hit 49 or so as a rookie.

McGwire was on andro, and it was totally legal. There was no need to admit to it; He had already addressed the issue back in 98 or 99. There was a container of it in his locker.
Again, it was legal.
As soon as someone made an issue of it, he quit.
That's what the senators asked him, and I don't blame him for not answering. He had already talked about it. It was over.

Did he get 'roid injections? Maybe. Maybe not. There's no way to know now. Plus, he doesn't have the record that he passed Maris for anymore....Bonds does.

And Bonds is still playing. So he's up first.....as soon as the guy who's still active comes clean, then I'll worry about someone who's retired.
