How old are you? I have bulging discs in my neck. What happens to me is that I get various pinched nerves. Included in this is a numbness, tingly feeling on the outside of my arm that radiates down to the inside of my forearm to my thumb and pointer finger. Doctors say it's just years of abuse on an active body. Some people get lucky and don't have spinal issues, some do. Some people may be reading this and seeing "soccer" and wondering if we're crazy talking about hands or even talking about the same thing. Does yours have anything to do with nerves or no?

If it is more like a "tightness" in your hand/arm/shoulder then you should see a dr. That's like bloodflow issues (hypertension, blockage, etc) and could be more serious.

How would you describe the pain? How much on a scale to 10?

Im 24 years old ..
Pain scale 7.5/10 ..

it doesnt happen to me if i dont play soccer ( sport ) .. so its not about nerves ..

But when i look at the blood vessel ( the area i have highlighted in the picture ) , a small part of it seems bigger than the rest of the same vessel.. , could it be a block there ? because its the same spot everyweek i play soccer ..

Probably not the blood vessel itself that should be your concern. It's likely due to general inflammation, which can make whatever blood vessels in the area (typically veins) look full and larger. Go see a doctor. You'll probably get referred to an orthopedic surgeon who will take a look at it.

Do you get any tingling in any of your fingers? And is that picture your actual hand, or someone else's hand you just happened to find on the internet?

Take some paracetamol or NSAIDs, see if they help. Also, if you don't do other exercise, do it and see if the problem comes up then. And if it doesn't go away in the next few weeks, go see your GP.

I thought maybe some venous valvular insufficiency which was causing congestion and almost-compartment syndrome.

Given his activity level and his likely age (being here on a tech forum), I'm guessing he's not really the typical patient with valve insufficiency. Granted, we're both going with what we know, but I know a lot of people who get hand pain with aggressive sports. Clinching, pulling, tearing, co-contraction can aggravate old injuries. I wouldn't really suggest NSAIDs yet as they may do nothing or may actually slow a natural healing process (that just needs a little kick in the pants to get going again). The bulging portion of his hand could even be random and unrelated. In addition, he gets his symptoms the next day - sounds more like an inflammatory process to me rather than an acute edema. You're definitely right though. This is why he needs to see a doc.
