Every page with Intel banner will not load

Hmm, no problem here... oh wait, that's right.. I'm a Subscriber! 🙂

Silly me..

You sure did contribute alot, are all subscribers as useful as you? 🙂

The problem is quasi fixed when I disable all java, however this results in an unstable forum which will crash my browser on about every 3rd page....So I am relegated to hit reload 5 times or so on every page until a non-intel banner comes up...

All I'm asking is for them to fix the banner ad or have intel do it.

Yay! I'm not the only one. Looks like an intel conspiracy against sparq users. Can a mod actually look at this since I'm not the only one?

Not all, but most of them probably are. 🙂 We Subscribers probably happen to believe strongly in the addage that "You get what you pay for."

So if you're not a Subscriber, don't bother complaining about the FREE access.

i get no stinkin' banner ads........ya ha ha ha.........subcribin' and.....loving it

The same problem here. Netscape 4.79 on W2K. IE and Opera handle it, but obviously there is something odd with the Intel add.

I feel this add has a subliminal effect. Something like "Intel = EVIL". (May be it's being paid by the competition).

I normally use Netscape, so I guess I'll just wait until it gets fixed.

Believe me, I was on the verge of subscribing, but I will not subscribe on the premise of avoiding a faulty banner ad. I tolerate the slow connection speeds of a non subscriber and the limited pm's, but I should not have to subscribe because Intel designed a banner that will only work on x86 processors or the Wintel platform. Other than the removal of advertisements I don't see how subscribing would help in my case.

Next time you are carpooling and not driving networkman, I hope the driver drops an eyewatering, paint-peeling fart then you can smile take a deep breath and say "don't bother complaining about the FREE access" 😀

I made some screen shots. It's not just the forums that are having problems.

Try going to the site news page and it should happen every time.

Oh well, I go to Anandtech too much anyways.

I have the exact same problem - With Netscape 4.78 (on Win2k Pro) the forum pages won't load, except for the Intel ad (off-centred, too!).

No problem on IE - go figure...

so that makes around a dozen users with this same problem. Hopefully Intel just signed a month banner ad placement, in that case it should only be a hindrance for another week or so.

I guess you can continue to do what I do, hit refresh continually until you get a non-intel banner...a minor inconvenience that you get used to over 3 weeks dealing with it. I just post on other boards and post on here on the few occasions that a page loads.
