My EDC has evolved to:

IP4 and a 7" tablet (in my man bag), rotating between a HTC Flyer and a PlayBook, with the Flyer as the definite favorite.

I'd like to be able to just use something like the Samsung Note, but it's too big for me for pocket carry in my job...

Keep your man bag and carry whatever devices you want in it.

Oh and...was there a question in your post? Are you simply looking for 1 phone that'll do everything? If so, from what I heard, the Samsung Note seems like the best bet.

I carry my phone with me, and that's it. Whenever I eventually do get a tablet, it will be for entertainment at home or on long trips.

just the galaxy nexus for now. I don't carry a bag regularly, so that's pretty much all there is room for. add a laptop in a backpack if i'm traveling.

oh, and don't forget the chap stick.

Vibrant mostly. Sometimes I take my 7" Tab. Tab serves multipurpose. It has perfectly working GPS unlike the Vibrant. Second, it serves as backup phone in case the battery on my Vibrant runs out. I can simply swap my SIM card and use my Tab same as my phone. So it's like having extra battery and phone with me. Very handy.

I still sport my vibrant and my MBP. It serves all my needs.

I also cary around my unactivated iphone 4, but I use it as a gaming in the crapper at work device. Hey, I gotta keep my fb bejeweled blitz score up.

Why 3 laptops?

i have my main laptop that covers mostly programming for one platform, graphics that are related to the same company (allen-bradley and rockwell software). the second laptop is mainly for modicon based programming and graphics. the 3rd is a back up puter that has an onboard serial port and covers legacy products that some of my customers still manage to keep running. some of these systems are over 12-15 years old and just wont die. the reason i split them between two laptops is due to their services not playing very nice together.

i also daily carry this

Always: BlackBerry Bold 9900, Samsung Focus (upgraded to 32GB)
Often: Kindle Fire or Kindle 4, ZuneHD
Occasionally, when I want something different: BlackBerry PlayBook, iPhone 3GS

anyway, I just have my Nexus S and iPod Touch 4G 32gb. The iPod doesn't get carried 60% of the time lol.

How do you like BB OS7?

It has its ups and downs. It actually functions pretty smooth, touch performance is good, the browser is very good, its pretty stable. Downsides are that certain actions are blocking - meaning they grind the phone to a halt until they're done (installing an app is one of them) - which gets annoying, and its still not fully touch-oriented...there's still a good deal of nested menus that are best navigated with the touchpad.

It does the job well enough, my main reason for having the phone is that the keyboard is just outstanding. By far the best keyboard I've ever had on a phone (and my list of QWERTYs is not small - T-Mobile Dash, BlackBerry Curve 8330, T-Mobile G1, Motorola Droid, HTC TouchPro 2, HTC G2, Palm Pre, Dell Venue Pro).

I got my mom the 8330 a couple years ago. Was nice and she liked it but its falling apart.
Got her the 9360 over Thanksgiving. Seems much nicer and I hope she will love it. Since she never browses and installs apps I dont believe it will bother her.

Oh, and I had the Droid, G1, Pre, Env2, and LG Voyager over the last couple years.

Voyager had the best keyboard by a long shot. Shame everything else was mediocre.

Its definitely a huge step up from the OS5 she probably had in the 8330. If she liked that phone, she should like the new one.
