Evernote

I've heard a lot of good things about evernote, and thinking of downloading and trying it out.

WOuld like to hear from users how you use evernote, and what makes it so good?

I have a bunch of notes on paper, and study guides, that I would like to read on my ipad / mac, and not have to carry around my folders with all these pieces of paper. Not sure if evernote is a solution to this problem or not.

I dunno how well it works for class notes and whatnot, but I find it tremendously useful for syncing common notes across basically every device I use. Grocery lists, searchable snapshots, etc..

I also use a local/offline notebook at home for all my scanned pdf documents (bills, statements, contracts, receipts, etc...), which makes tagging and searching them pretty easy.

I prefer CintaNotes with SugarSync. I luv the portability, note creation/sort/sync simplicity and lilliputian footprint. I found Evernote much too much bloat and such an incessant enslavement to the Cloud. Nice if you don't value your data, but not for me.
