EverGlide is having a $1 Pad - FREE MOUSE SKATEZ Sale

personally, I find 9-11 and osama bin laden mousepads a tasteless attempt on commercializing those events....

Cheapest shipping for me in Bothell, WA was $8.68 for ground!!!! For a friggin mouse pad?!?!?!?!?!

Where does it say it comes with free mouse skatez? I'm only seeing them as +5 dollar addons

And what the hell, shipping's 8.63 for a mouse pad?! 🙁

I ordered 5 of them, shipping was 9.63, not too bad for 5 of them, but crazy for one. It said nothing about free mouse skates. If all 5 come with mouse skates, then this will be a hot deal indeed.

Still think it's a hot deal if you order in multiple quantites.

funny.. most of the time these would cost twice this shipped.. I think 50% off is pretty good. I can deal with a sports logo for a Giganta and an optical pad shipped for 11.17. These aren't rubber mousepads.

For what it's worth:

Every few months there's a big debate here on Everglide vs. Ratpadz. I have both, and love both, and the truth is that both are far better than anything you'd get at Best Buy. The RatPadz does give you a bit more real estate to work with, and I like the cutaway a little better. But then the actual surface of the Everglide feels a bit better to me. Both are built to last forever.

Regardless: These mouse skatez sound silly, but make a huge different. I have the logitech MX-700 wireless mouse, and those of you who have it know that it's pretty heavy. I get some real friction on the Ratpadz (less on the Everglide, but still very aware of it). But with the skatez, there's a huge improvement on both surfaces.

Whether or not it's worth it to pay $10 for that improvement, I dunno.

ordered 3 $9.35 Thanks for deal. Alway wanted ti try these ratz pad.

Ordered 2 binladen mostly for the size
and 1 razer attack

peace

I don't doubt the quality of these, or that $10 shipped is a good deal. I just usually stay away from merchants who are so blatant in padding the shipping charges. Only thing cheaper that UPS Ground is standard US mail!

I guess for me it's just the principal. If the pads were normally $20, and they had a "sale" for $10 + free shipping, I'd prolly be more likely to order.

See what surfing AT Hot Deals daily does to one's mind?!?!?!?!??!?!??!?!??!

I agree with you Codey. It's ridiculous to advertise them as "Only $1!"

Plus, half of those pads carry advertisements for other businesses. Why should I pay to purchase their promotional crap?

Just a fyi, this isn't that great of a deal if you buy one. So, I bought 20, which came to $1.54 a pad. can't go wrong with that. I'll give them out as prizes at a lan party or something. Excellent deal.

edit: just checked and the ones I bought are now sold out 🙂

Do these things work well with optical mice? They have a link for other pads that are compatible with optical mice but they cost ~$9.

They work fine with optical mice. The "officially" optical pads are a different color, in theory to provide better pickup of the optical eye. But I honestly can't tell a difference between the two. (Though I kind of like the optical color better.)

I know it sounds crazy, but I'm telling you: They make all the difference. If you go from a cloth mousepad to one of these, you won't believe the change.

I admit, the price is a bit silly. But even cheapskates like us splurge a little sometimes.

I've been using my ratpad since 98 or 99.. it's been awesome.. a trip thru the dishwasher now and again.. it's like new.

u guys are right, freaking shipping is crazy...

but i never have any of those "fancy" mousepad... i guess i will get a few and split the shipping w/ a friend.

I bought one of the Everglides when they first came out. If anyone remembers, I did a bulk order of 120 of them and had a group buy on them here. I think I was selling them for $12 shipped and sold them all - so this is a great deal still (originally they cost $17 individually after their inflated shipping). They are great for ball mice. They are kind of a waste if you have an optical mouse though, as the best surface for that is just a large, cheap, cloth pad. No need to pay for premium mousepads for them, these are perfect for ball mice though.
