I was reading the suday ads today and saw a laptop by the company called Everex. I was wondering if any of you had ever heard of them. Their sight says this

"Established in 1983, and headquartered in Fremont, California, Everex has grown to become one of the most experienced and trusted brands in the personal computer industry. As a market leader in producing innovative products, Everex has sold millions of PCs and peripheral components worldwide."

I've never heard of them. Have you? Are they a quality brand?
 
They were much bigger in the biz back in the day. Didn't have a very good rep for quality or a very creative company name... Hadn't heard from them for several years. More than likely the name just got sold or licensed.

Not according to what the site and it said. If you check the history on their site it has listed at the bottom 2006-Everex Stepnote something or other selling at officemax. oh well. Thanks!
 
They pop up on Walmart with desktop computer builds within the last year.

My first experience with them was when a kid that worked for me bought one and I sort of taught him about computers.

It was an alright computer for the time (probably a Pentium 133 or something if I remember right.) But back in the day you had fewer brand names to choose so pre-built computers might have more standardized quality (were not a million no name motherboards to choose from, etc.)
