evercase ATX MID Tower Case w/o ps $22 @newegg

Can't access newegg.com at the moment... Is this case tool-free and have there been reviews? How's cooling?

I've ordered 4 total. one with a PS and 3 without. They've been selling this w/o power supply for over a month now. White or black.

I have this case. Anyone have thoughts on the tiny recessed RESET button? Do you have to use a pen tip to push it in or anything? I realize that you don't want to accidentlally push it, but it seems awfully tiny.

You could just cut a small piece of plasic (don't ask me from what) and glue it on that would extend it out farther. I actually haven't needed it very often but when I do I use a small screwdriver to push it in.

saw this deal last month already... umm sorry for not posting it up ?
btw get the black one for $26 same specs... the $4 is definitely worth looking A LOT better!!!

I was thinking about the plastic or rubber extension idea...might even replace it with a more pronounced push button. I try to RESTART from within windows, but sometimes you have to do a hard restart and a pencil or small screwdriver to me still seems like an inconvenient PITA....🙂

What's with the blinking RED banner??? It's giving me fits...... Seems strange that a "well policed" message board like this would allow deceptive advertisements. Go figure.....

got the case and generally like it. good points - cheap, front fan mount blows directly on hard drives, good ventilation, deeper front to back than most for more room. bad points - front cover is a little hard to get off, very lightweight construction. Overall good cheap case if you are careful with it.

Anyone know if the black one comes w/ any fans? Pics look like just the side fan, but I'm just checkin 😉

Also anyone know what size the side fan is?

I have 2 of the white ones and the side fans are standard 80mm case fans. The side fan even pops in and out with no screws so you could replace it easy. Plus the arm that holds the fan has a pivot so you can move it out of the way when installing the motherboard and/or CPU heatsink. No need to unscrew anything.
It might not be a flashy looking case but it makes working on your computer really easy.

If you have case fans in all 3 places,....front, side, and back,....it can be a bit loud but you could always get some Panaflo fans to fix that. I've got some on the way right now. 🙂

<< What is ATX and AT, what are the differences? >>

ATX = most current motherboards

AT = ancient motherboards, AT keyboard connection (large plug, not PS/2), different power supply

I looked for one of these with a power supply and couldn't find it. Since I never put in a power supply..how hard or easy is it to install one.

you slide it into position and screw in 4 screws from behind the case into the power supply, takes a total of 45 seconds...very easy.

If you want a power suppy to go with this case, look at the Sparkle 250W newegg has or the 300W Enhance (ENP-0730 model). The Sparkle 250 has a TCO of 175W I believe. The Enhance ENP-0730 has a TCO of 220W. The one that comes with the PSU is a lower model of the Enhance which has a TCO of 175W I think. I am thinking about getting the case without PSU and getting the Sparkle (makes less noise).
