Nuh uh. It's real. His helmet broke the engine (you can see the explosion it made) and his jacket shielded him from being flaked and fragged to death. It makes sense, because you can see in the OPs link that the combustion chamber dealie is behind the turbine. So his helmet got sucked off and through the turbine, throwing all kinds of shrapnel into the combustion chamber, causing it to immediately slow down.

I like the big sudden jump in temperature by about a thousand celcius degrees.

Reminds me of ripping off the heatsink on an Athlon 1400 o/c to 1745 running 2.4V on the core!

Pretty cool.

Would've been better if they shown a cat go thru the engine.

That video of the guy goin in the engine is great, they showed us that one when I went through fire school in the Air Force...

You know, a guy did go through a jet engine and survived. Got sucked in while working on an aircraft carrier in the navy. Saw it on TV.
