Actually, I hotplugged a PCI network card in an old Dell server once, just to see what would happen. It was an old card and an even older server, so I didn't really care if it broke anything.

The cool thing is that the system automatically detected the card, installed the drivers, and connected to the network via DHCP! Cool! Windows 2000 Rules! :)

Try shorting together pins on the PS/2 port. It will surprise you, particularly after the successful results of some of these other "experiments".
