ever wonder what happens when an 18-wheeler ignores a low bridge sign?

Wasted your money on buying Sony speakers...

SONY?!

they were $40 for the pair (they're some old speakers - SS-MF315) and were pretty highly rated. also, i had that receiver already and the receiever doesn't output 5.1, just 5.0, and so i figured i'd eventually upgrade teh receivers and the speakers. but these are tons better than the stock speakers and so i'm quite happ.

it is quite badass. best purchase i've made in a while. you'll note the space i left between the xbox and the n64 for the HD box - haven't decided between direct tv and comcast yet, and i'm trying to play them against each other.

I used to live by a road that went through a small tunnel. I saw at least ten trucks get stuck in there, most memorable being a Hostess bread truck. They were normally able to pull them back out after deflating the tires but the tunnel definitely has plenty of wear from it now.

this is the first time i've ever seen it happen and the second thing i thought of was taking pics to post on ATOT 😱

It is almost impossible to see what happened from that angle.

sorry guys, i tried my best - the cops weren't allowing anyone to take pics for some reason. i added a couple of shots i took from my camera phone from the car sales lot you see in the other pics... they are cameraphone pics, so they look kinda bad, but you can clearly see where the truck is stuck at least.

also, here's a random pic of a GT40 from a ford dealership in tyler, tx. the owner bought it for his wife :Q and the pic is crappy cause it's from a cameraphone and it is from the outside - the dealership was closed on the day we went.

There's a railroad overpass like that by the University of Louisville engineering school - for a while when I was in college, about once a month a truck would try to go under it. The city finally put up signs to tell the stupid mothertruckers to NOT try to go under the bridge...of course, then they would try to get around it by cutting through the engineering school's parking lot...which happens to be a DEAD END with no room to turn a semi around...

Imagine going towards a bridge in a ship that is too high for it!

there is a video of a tug boat on the mississippi where this happend. it smashed against the bridge but the current was very fast and strong. it rolled the tug boat completly over and the boat went under the bridge. on the other side the boat righted itself and didnt sink. i bet the crew below in the engine room about sh*t themselves when they were suddenly upside down.

HAHHAA that made me laugh, picturing the crew members "WTF!!!!??!"

I've seen it happen a few times. Never THAT bad, though. Always just a few inches for me. I also saw it happen to a CAR CARRIER loaded with a bunch of classics 🙁

You could get a subwoofer with speaker wire connections and take the bass info off the signal sent to the mains and pass the rest of the signal to them.

well, since that's an older technology, i'd rather just save up some money and eventually get a nice system going =)

i eventually wanna get some B&W centers / rears going and hopefully a B&W sub as well.

No video, but gives you the same effect.
