Ever wonder what a satellite can see?

Insane3D -
Isn't that the picture that they just posted on the Pentagon War-Room Strategy map -
where the B2's are being directed toward to handle a pending insurgency?

looks like a cross between Spiderman and Saddam, Think I see an EPoX below"

Update to flight crew, suspect WMD in basement - Yes, he's got Wine, Meatloaf, and Dog Food.
appears to be a serious threat, even has a Lava Lamp from the 70's in a back room.
Probably hangin' with Elvis and Hendrix, and maybe even Jim Morrison & other suspicious characters.

Some of your AL-Queda buddies have been caught though, like the one who recieved medical care in Baghdad right after Afghanistan.... Alot of what powell said to the UN was true, that man is now in custody, we found the camp he clainmed was there that was ebing used to train terrorists in the use of WMD, the camp and recipes for WMD were found along with dispersion manual, and dead Al-Queda.

Look here.

I guess the Iraqi scientist who surrendered and claimed a link to AL-Queda was made was right, of course he did claim to have made WMD and was able to lead us to buried stockpiles of precursor chemicals he could turn into WMD, but that was a lucky guess, lol. Dude did more in one day than the UN or the US could in almost 13 years. If he hgad not been maing WMD for Saddam he would have made one hell of a weapons inspector..

Doubt his claims they began moving them into Syria in the mid-90's? So far he is batting 1000, would hardly be shocked to find out he was right about that as well.

I have seen the brand of cigerettes in a gi's pocket from photos from 60,000+ feet SR71 photos in 1969. This resolution is chump compared to what they can really see.

Saw them right there at Kadena. And when I was in, 10 years was the limit. If yours don't expire now, then don't say anything. But the SR71 was de classified or de commisioned, right?

Anyway, the ones that should be worried are the ones trying to hide something. That ain't me! ;)

Yep, by now they can probably count the mites on an ant's head from space and do it in real time in some instances.

I just hope the activity is passive and not active/harmful (no, I'm not really all that worried).

I suspected as much re: your NdS. I was also pointing out to anyone else who might be subject to one that they shouldn't post. With regard to the SR-71, they are no longer in active military service, but that doesn't mean that their sensors are not being used for other purposes. Airframe != sensor. I have absolutely no idea one way or the other on the specifics of the Blackbird.

The ones that should be worried are the ones subject to criminal prosecution. Just doing part of my job. :)

O.K. - Now we've all had a little fun with this, but nobody seemed to catch on to something.

Go back and look again at the satellite images and check the photo dates.
January 2002 - Military buildup in Quatar. 1 year and 3 months before Iraq invasion.
There was additional build up for well over a year before launching the attack.

Any doubt in anybodys mind that this was a staging area for a pre-determined invasion?
This is where Central Command ran the show from.
With a contingency plan to re-deploy there from Saudi Arabia at a pre-planned schedule.

Comments?

By that logic...
why haven't we invaded Russia yet? We've been building up bases next to them for 60 years!

I refuse to disclose of my taking pics of the Habu while sitting in it's hangar backed up to 58 or being towed to the test stand at the end of the taxiway (also by 58) while I was sitting on a knoll overlooking the runway.

It used to take off and circle back over Futema on it's way North(?) to points unknown. Liked the way all you could see at night was a red rotating beacon and 2 blue-white cones of flame at night.

My pops has seen film from all sorts of recon bird both space bound and airframe bound. Photo-interpreters see all sorts of things. Some of which he still can't disclose even after being retired for almost 30 years.

The Saudis have always been a little uneasy about having a large US presence in their country even though the government recognized it as necessary for their own security. However, the Qataris are very welcoming to the U.S. so when they offered, we took them up on moving our operations over there. It solves two problems: U.S. is no longer in the Islamic holy land, and the U.S. has a host country which is much more at ease with hosting our forces.

If we start building training bases in Poland, which seems likely from the press reports, does that mean we're going to attack Ukraine?
