I used to live basically right on the beach. LAst place I had was 12 min from it.
It is overrated.

I lived with the sea (ok so it was just Galveston Bay) right out side my front door for about 6 months, and a real beach a few blocks away. It wasnt bad, but the area was kinda ghetto, and it was a long drive to work.
