...annoying pop-up scripts? I came across THIS Seems just a TAD unethical at the very least. What it seems to me, that this web-slug is selling a script that essentially pisses off any user whose had the misfortune of visiting your site by annoying the hell out of them during and after they leave with pop-up ads ad nauseum.

...am I wrong?

That's just wrong... I only allow 2 popups per visit on my site and that's a bit too much sometimes.

What he's selling is trying to make it so that the person doesn't even know where the popups are coming from. Seems like a hijacking of the user's computer. :(

This seems pretty far-fetched. Can anyone even confirm this stuff actually works?

You are bidding on a TRULY amazing script that allowS you to generate a ma$$ive amount of traffic to any website you wish (IE, YOURES). Affiliate sites, Banner Sites, Exit Exchanges, and the list goes on and on. Watch your traffic and sales soar! This script will pay huge dividents to any web master / small business owner who has spend big bucks and alot of time ranking high on google & Yahoo by turning each page view into many many more page views.

Debkasscripts runs behind the scene and is not noticed by your visitors. Developed to be hidden from your visitors, and open multiple browser windows at any time. This is he same exact script that we sell for $125 on our site at Debkas . This is an exclusive ebay deal to raise cash flow.

Apparently the script didn't work for them...

How can a popup increase your rankings in Google (which only goes on clicks from a search) and Yahoo (which doesn't even really rank web pages)? Anyone who falls for something like that is right up there on the idiocy scale with the people that fall for making millions of dollars from a Nigerian official.
