probably depends on what microphone you use. If you're using a nice shure mic, you can probably have some distance. If you're using a cheap computer mic, you'll probably have to be in the front row.

You can't plug in any mic, you have to buy an attachment for the ipod as far as I know.. I really could use this information though, bump!![]()
