Ever find a Windows laptop with the [Win] key in the correct location?

Just curious. I've never seen one. Every Windows laptop has some [Fn] key displacing the [Win] logo key; pushing it to the right so it's directly below the [Z] key. My muscle memory fails. Most attempts to use [Win] key shortcuts end in cursing. Pisses me off more than I can describe.

I've seen very few non-laptop keyboards do this.

Yeah, but I can just avoid those desktop keyboards that have it in the wrong location. My current fave is the Logitech G15 v2. I also have some Dell QuietKey keyboards around, but I like having a quick Mute button and a switch to disable the Winlogo key when gaming.

On the few occasions I have hit the Windows key and the Start Menu pops up, I'm like wtf just happened? I chalk the Windows key up to Microsoft marketing with little utility.

I use it hundreds of times per day.

...and never to access the Start menu.

Usually Win+R

The windows symbol is branding, certainly.

But the windows key itself is really useful.

The FN (get it F-N, effen😀) key is a staple on all laptops so never will you find one without it, at least I never have...luckily I don't touch type so it isn't a big deal

where's it supposed to be?

For reference:

I just wish they'd relocate it. Top row or something. Maybe chop-off the left side of the left Shift key.

The shift key is used way more than the Win key, that would suck...top row wouldn't be bad though

You know the Shift keys are extra-wide, right?

Who uses the left side of the left Shift key? I use the right side of the left Shift key when I mean to press that key.

I hate how most keyboards in general are different now. Why can't there be a standard that everyone sticks to? Have a standard for full size, and a standard for laptop, and stick to that! Laptops are the worse for butchering keyboards though. If I use a laptop for an extended time I like to just hook up a keyboard and mouse.
