Saved a 3 year old from drowning at a church picnic.
It was a pond, and as he was walking into deeper water I was on my way up to him to say hi and check on him. I was the only one who saw him go under, and the water was dark, so if I hadn't been there he was done for. As I walked out of the pond his mom came running up screaming because she realized that he wasn't on the shore.
Kinda made me feel good, but anyone else would have done the same thing, so it's not a big deal.
EDIT: Oh, and at the hospital where I worked last summer before I went off to college, some lady needed emergency surgery. I was only hired for data entry/computer technician, but we were short a secretary that day. My superviser had to run all over the ER (I worked directly in the surgery core), so she needed me to answer the phones as all of the needed equipment was coming in. Given, the surgeons saved her life, but having an extra set of hands around to pick up the phone was helpful.
