With savings in the bank this is an easy decision most of the time...in this economy I don't know if I would risk it. Really depends on the job you will need to replace your old one. Around six figures or more it's harder to find new employment without relocating often...so if you are locked in a house that is something to consider.

Normally it's best to use your time on the job you are leaving to prepare to get the job you are going to.
