Ever overclock something thats not a computer?

just wondering if anyone ever overclocked or modded anything that wasnt necessarily a normal computer.. like maybe a cd player or a playstation or a radio or something?

Depends on what you mean overclock. Modify something to go faster?? Then if so that would be my car, motorcylce, hmm....model rockets, straped 4 c6-7's on one before and that baby took off into orbit!! LOL..went sooo high, it was cool. What i havent done is OC a computer, I did oc the FSB to 133mhz though, not a cpu though.

sure.. what can you modify on a pda?

i've thought about modding my ti-85 but sadly i could afford to replace it if i messed it up..

Hey Suppafly !!
I had a look at the site you mentioned. I have an "oldish" T81, hardly ever used, just lying around in a cupboard so I thought I'd have a go at OC'ing the thing.
BUT, how do you know that you've actually succeeded in OC'ing it ?
Would be fun to know, educational also.

I'm not sure.. im guessing there are programs to tell you or you could perhaps look in the games section.. try a game before and after and see if it speeds up.. graphing should be sped up too id imagine.

I overclocked my garden hose. I put my finger on the end of it when the water shoots out and it makes it shoot out a faster stream of water.

Isn't it essentially overclocking when you drop a different "brain" into one of those little cars like an Accord or something? Sure changes the horsepower.

Hey I just remembered a Cheapie laser pointer I bought in Hong Kong when they first came out. After a while the laser was failing even with fresh batteries, so I hooked it up to a 9V battery. It worked awesome for a few seconds each time you would turn it on, then it would die down, but still better than stock.

I think it was heating up too much b/c when I put it in the freezer, it worked much better.

me and my friend made a custom rocket that held 8 DD engine and 1 E engine... it blew up on the launch pad!
