Well... I'm visiting my brothers apartment for 3 days b/c I'm interviewing for a job. He happens to be out of town at the same time so I'm here alone. Come to find out he has a wireless optical mouse and the batteries are dead. He uses rechargable ones but he took the charger with him :(

I have now been navigating everything in windows for 3 days without a mouse. I'm lucky I know how to get around with the key board or I'd be in big trouble :p

Anyone else had to navigate windows w/o a mouse for an extended amount of time?

Spend a couple bucks on batteries! :)

I've had to work on computers without mouse's and gradually learned all the keyboard shortcuts, but still it's frustrating and there is certain software that just doesn't support it.

Some guys were horsing around in my dorm room at school and knocked something back behind my computer. Low and behold, my PS/2 port for my mouse ceases to function so I had to wait 2 days till I bought a USB replacement. I know how it is...

I guess, my parrie dog chewed through my ms mouse while I was asleep one night. Only like two days without a mouse for me though.

my little brother has a usb mouse and i think he somehow fried his motherboard because it wouldn't read anything, so for the past two weeks he was doing eveyrthing with the keyboard, what was amazing to me is that he figured everything out himself (like managing ten AIM conversations).

A couple years ago on my P233MMX my serial port broke and I couldn't use my mouse - actually got away with using MouseKeys for a couple months until some guy came over and told me I needed a ISA serial port card. Course, I didn't use my computer nearly as much back then...

hehe, I am navigating web links with the tab button and it sucks! :)

I thought about getting some batteries but I don't want to waste the money b/c I'm only going to be here one more day and I want my bro to experience it when he gets back :p

Use Mozilla/Firebird's type ahead find or something like that. To get to a link, just type the text and press enter to get there :D

Then take the batteries with you when you leave... but it's your brother too...
