Well, English is my first language (that's what I speak at home). I think it's more of a culture shock. But lots of movies and TV shows from the US (even if they don't really portray genuine American life) helped ease me into the change.

I can imagine. Its neat how people from other countries can learn so much about the english language by simply watching TV.
I have a few friends in Sweeden who have never been to Canada/UK/US... etc, and they speak english very well and they have TV to thank for it. T.V. finally did something contructive/educational.![]()
