I'll answer my phone with different names. Keeps callers on their toes.

nope.. but I do have a weird habit of saying 'good to see you again' after meeting someone for the first time. I guess that's better than 'nice to meet you' to someone I've already met before. I deal with tons of people a day so I get in the routine.

I've not done that, but have had issues where my mouth seemed to bypass my brain. High School...morning news broadcast and I was one of the two reporters. I was reading some of the sports results and got down to reading the wrestling results. It was supposed to go "and Joe Bob won his match by pinning his man in X seconds." The principal was sitting behind the same table as us reporters just a little further down off screen. I got to the line I mentioned and read it as "and Joe Bob won his match by pinning his mom in X sec..." The principal corrected me, while chuckling from off camera saying "I think you mean he pinned his man." I heard him and decided to take another crack at the line...just to report Joe Bob pinned his MOM again (read it the exact same way as before:Q)!! D'OH!!! At that point my face turned bright red, I put my head down on the table and waved the camera over. They panned over and showed the principal laughing his butt off for a few minutes before regaining his composure and making his announcements.

what I've seen done by another is

giving out someone else's business card & introducing onesself as that person,

then acting like a jerk toward them.

Or like when you say "See ya later" to someone you probably will never see again. Hahaha.

I do remember doing this once. I don't remember the name I gave but I was in the middle of something and had a lot on my mind and did not give the right name.

I have introduced myself as 'Dad' before. It is pretty close to Dan so I can usually play it off.

I do seem to forget my age quite a bit though.
"Hey man, how old are you again?"
"30 oh wait... 32 shoot I mean 31"
