Ever heard of universal warranty corporation?

Just wondering if anyone has ever ehard of universal warranty corp. They offer warranties on used cars. I know some warranty companies can be pretty bad with claims, just wondering how this one does.

Stay away from third party companies - either factory warranty the vehicle, or don't warranty it at all - you're gonna piss away your money.

Why do you say that, not all of the third part companies are bad. I know a lot are, but not all.

I already did a search for it, I get to the website, but not much info on how good they are.

What did your search turn up when you searched about the company's reputation?

Nothing, good or bad, thats the problem.

Don't do it. I paid a $1000 for my after market warranty when I bought my '97 I30. The alternator died... my bill was $500 and the warranty company said they would pay $100 of it. My deductible was $100 too! Haha. I totalled that car and the warranty company gave me a pro-rated an amount back, so I can't complain too much. I'd stay away though. Invest the $1000 it would cost for a warranty and put it in a savings account to use whenever the car needs repaired.

Okay I gotta confess, When I bought my maxima, I was still worried about reliability, so I went ahead and purchased the warranty for it as well. I have yet to use it, and I know I can cancel it and get a refund. I think its a full refund if I haven't made a claim yet, but it may be prorated. I am just wondering if I should keep it or go ahead and get the refund. I am actually considering selling the maxima. I don't want to, but I need some extra cash so I can replace my other aging car.

SO I figure I can either sell the car and transfer the warranty to the new buyer, or I can just cancel the policy and get the refund, that should save me some cash.

Your right I obviously didn't get it, it would be nice if you explain.

Don't mind Nik.

He's a dick. Oh look it rhymes.

I know, thanks.

Anyways I just did some math on it. I am currently paying 211.25, if my math is correct, with what I have already paid ont he car and if I get a full refund on the warranty, I can get my payment down to 165.00/month. Thats over 40.00 bucks a month savings. That would really help me out with another vehicle payment. I may just ahve to give them a call.

But I am still considering selling the maxima. It checked out fine when I had it inspected, but the guy didn't tell me it was lowered and I didn't notice. Now I am beginning to think it was owned by a ricer, after I noticed a couple of other things about it, so I am wondering about its condition. Since I got it, the only non maintenance stuf I had to do on it was replace the evap canister, which I hear is a problem for the maxima, and I also had to replace my front struts. No other problems in the year I have had it.

Yeah, don't mind me. I haven't had enough coffee today. 😛

Its okay, when you are mean, I just keep thinking about how tygre owned you a while back. That was great. SO its all good.

I'd get the $$$ back. The max is a reliable car, even if owned by a ricer. Call your warranty company for a refund.

Nik is a self-righteous little troll. (just elucidating the comment of "don't mind Nik.")
