Ever have a file download stop.. at the same time everytime?

Just wondering what might be causing it... I was trying to download off a friends page.. and there were a few links, where if I tried to download that mp3, it would always stop at the exact same time... same file size and everything. Most of the files download just fine.. The server also doesn't support resumes..

any ideas?

I've had this before, seems like a problem with the server limiting file size transfers.

I've had it be problems w/ the file on the host. Sometimes you can find it elsewhere. I wish IE had autoresume I hate using extra prog's to dl single files.

I've also had it where the ISP (CableCo) has routing problems that cause timeouts to occur but it's usually at different spots (but never makes it to the end).

well, if its mp3s and he didnt make them (theyre copyrighted?), and hes hosting on a 3rd party server (ie not his computer) then whoever is hosting the mp3s might have something to do with it....

(I had this problem with a previous host. i couldnt download my own mp3s, even though it was not copyrighted music - it wasnt music at all - the host had some security feature that wouldnt allow mp3 downloads to complete just to keep themselves out of trouble i guess. such a pain in the ass)
