this is also very true. hell i don't even go to clubs with people, i really cant stand them. way too loud playing shitty music and or way to crowded with overly expensive beer/covers

I used go to bars alone all the time, sitting at the bar its pretty easy to pickup chicks once you watch the enviorment for a while and see who's with who and who's alone. Also not a bad way to watch the game while pounding back a few pints.

I hate clubs and would never usually go at all, so never alone.

I'd go to the pubs on my own now and then. Sit back in the open air, have a pint, some food. Just relax or maybe read a book. Actually, reminds me of the week I spent in Ottawa for a conference. I had all my dinners at the pubs there in the evenings, just sitting back reading. Nice.

Yep - use to go to bars by myself all the time when I was a lot younger [18-21] in Kansas City.

Westport Bars - rock shows - no chance of any awkwardness. Walk in, get a beer, and grab a seat to watch the local bands all night long until close.

"dance bars" [country, disco, etc] can be very awkward if you go alone and there aren't any TV's in the place.

Yes. Gone to bars alone. I had quite a some good times there. Gotta make some friends there though and before you know it, fun times!
