Ever get tired of games?

I've been playing PC games since I was about six or so, and while are still some cool ones around, I feel little urge to play games anymore. It's like, I've played all of them, and even the newer games that come out, to me they basically feel the same (like FPS's, adventure games, etc.).

I have like 8 games on my HD right now, and the only one I've played recently is Tony Hawk, the other ones haven't been touched in a month or so..

So the money my GF2 should translate into some nice cash..and that free space on my HD will come in nicely too.

Exactly..I could be a much much more productive person without games. It's not like there's any benefit to it. My time would be spent much better reading or even watching TV.

I've gotten tired of all games at one point or another except for two: Starcraft Quick Think(a use map settings game) and Team Fortress in any flavor(Quake or Half Life Mod). I could play either of those games forever it seems like(cause I have) and still play them more(cause I do).

I agree too. I use to play all this Tribes, CS, some Q3, all the quakes. The only thing left I play is Red Alert 2. Mostly because I try to get my rank good and I play a lot with a friend from school. I'm bored of my PSX too.

Games these days aren't groundbreaking anymore.

10 years from now we are going to still be playing NES/SNES/Genesis games, and only the select few PSX-era games are going to be even touched. Sure great games are constantly being released, but its all "been there, done that - this just adds new wrinkles and looks better."

Sometimes I'll go months without playing games, then will come a month of complete game craziness. With the eclectic range of games out there it's hard not to find something you'll enjoy. I still enjoy playing Quest for Glory I-V in a row just seeing how fast I can beat 'em all. Getting pretty quick at it. ;)

One thing that hasn't been done... FPF! First person fighter, Hand to hand combat (kicks, punches, blocks etc)

Starcraft.. mmmmmm :) (Look for italianfrenchie)
CS is getting old fast (GreenBeret), tribes is cool still (GreenBeret).

I have gotten sick of most games in general.
I used to play the action mod for quake2, but got bored of that.
I played diablo2 (Also wasted half my summer playing it)

The only game I play now is Quake3 Fortress.

LOL, I have the same feeling, I thought that at 18 I was just getting old. Maybe its just that the games suck. Only games I play a lot now are Fallout 1 and 2 and Fallout Tactics. Plus some CS and UO here and there.

I got bored with games for awhile, and so I picked up some computer programming books. Right now I'm learning C/C++, and I have a Windows Game Programming book. See, I got tired of playing other people's games, so I've been trying to learn how to create my own. Sure is hard though...

Haven't been back on the gaming scene since kicking my Everquest addiction.

I played DiabloII for awhile, got SICK of it after ActII and used cheats to beat it.

Now I've been messing with Red Alert2, Age Of Empires 2 and tonight I gave ONI a try.

I am the ABSOLUTE WORST person with RPGs. RPGs to me, is like crack to a crackhead. So I try to stear clear when I hear about a good one hitting the market.

I don't play games that much. Once in a while I get inspired by a review or a demo and actually buy something. For example, I currently have NOLF and Alice. I was bored with NOLF half way through the 2nd mission and I haven't even opened Alice yet.

I am trying to quit. I don't play games like cs any more, but guys don't kid yourself this forum does the same thing. I am trying to get away from my computer and just use it for word processing, music, and email but it is hard.

I hear ya, brotha! BG2 still takes up a bit of my spare time and I already know that Arcanum, POR2 and NWN will be occupying space in my HD and draining never-to-be-regained hours from my life! :p

I will usually play a game for an hour and get tired of it. Ground control lasted 40 minutes. Sports games usually last all of ten minutes each. Yep, I think I am gone as a gamer.
