man how do all you ladies get paid for overtime?! anything i have over 40 hours is free for the company. i think that is why they give me deadlines that cannot be met without working 50-60 hours a week, so that they can get free work out of me and the rest of the team.

It is hard for some people to set boundaries. Especially if the company doesn't give a crap about it's employees. It can be easy to get stuck in that cycle of unpaid OT and then the company just expects it. I love working hourly. Just yesterday I got to go home at 11:30 AM because I had started my day at 2:30AM. I was finishing up working a outage at a remote site and called my boss to check in. He asked if I was coming into the office. I told him I could but anything after 11:30 would be into OT. He told me to go home after I finished up at the remote site. Got to go home pick up my children from school and then take a nap for a couple of hours. I think if I was working salary they would have expected me to come back to the office and work till 4pm.
