Ever get a brief, sharp pain in your chest?

Sometimes I get a really sharp pain in the chest...it happens infrequently, just wondering what it could be. Hope I don't die of a heart attack.

Yes, often. I cannot breathe for about 1 minute more than slightly when it happens, either. Doctors think I have cartilidge that occasionally gets out of place and puts pressure on my lungs or something of the like.

Me too, me too! And it goes away after a sec . . .. Kinda odd. Used to happen more often, but not recently ?

yeah, I do. kinda scares me because I'm only 21. shouldn't be having chestpains yet.

this morning I also had a pain in my head. it started on the left side, felt like something popped and the pain spread out throughout the left side of my head. went away about 20 seconds later. first time something like that happened though.

yeah, the doctor did tests on me and couldn't find anything wrong with my heart at the time. they just 'didn't know'

Sometimes but not lately. I'm not sure what the deal is... It feels like someone grabbed my chest cavity and squeezed but it wasn't like I stopped breathing or anything. More like a muscle spasm

I get that...but it goes to along with my stress problem...when I was talking with my doc about it, he said that alot of people have chest pains randomly, he said they could be anything from simple heartburn to a serious heart problem, it they are happening a lot you might want to talk to the doc about it

that's sort of like what it is. usually its just quick and over but last night before i fell asleep i got a really bad one that lasted probably only 4 seconds. then i must have fallen asleep and had a dream about having a heart attack or something, because i have been thinking about my chest all day, thinking that it's in pain...but i'm pretty sure it's just psychosomatic.

I used to get a sharp stabbing pain, but only for an instant -- when I was reaching puberty, but then they stopped.

Kinda funny looking back on it, you'd think it was 'check-out time' :D

I get that occasionally, and for me it is muscles between the ribs cramping. If I stretch backwards, the cramp ends and the pain goes away instantly.

It's called getting punched in the chest. It's when a mean dude turns his hand into a fist, cocks it, and punches you really hard.

Yeah I do, the pain is usally right under my heart, and last for a couple minutes and I can't move. Happens a few times a month, I'm sure its nothign to worry about.
