Sometimes I get a really sharp pain in the chest...it happens infrequently, just wondering what it could be. Hope I don't die of a heart attack.
yeah, I do. kinda scares me because I'm only 21. shouldn't be having chestpains yet.

this morning I also had a pain in my head. it started on the left side, felt like something popped and the pain spread out throughout the left side of my head. went away about 20 seconds later. first time something like that happened though.

oh man...me too! it feels like i pop a nerve in my head and it hurts like a mofo...and then everything gets numb.

yeah, it did get numb now that you mention it. I was just feeling, 'crap, hope I don't pass out while I'm driving up this curvy road'. that would've sucked.

I get them about once a month, it is like my whole chest siezes up, and I CAN NOT even begin to breathe. It happens randomly as far as I can tell, andusually horts bad enough that I just top moving while it happens.

It's usually just a muscle spasm. Doctors I've talked to say it's due to anxiety/panic/stress.

Just lie down or take it easy for a little bit and it will go away.

Could it be mitral valve prolapse? Where a heart valve gets stuck open occasionally for a brief bit and the rush of blood makes you feel a little weird. It's not really dangerous; I haven't really heard it referred to as a pain, more of a fluttering strange feeling. It's more common in women but men can have it too.

Just a thought.

Nope, never had any sharp pains in my chest. Definately in my shoulder and leg, but then again, getting shot does that to you. :D

I sometimes get a rather sharp burning (though short-lasting, a few seconds) pain right in my heart area; it happens when I'm lying on my stomach, like in the morning (I probably wouldn't go to sleep at night in this manner), and there's pressure that is put on my chest; I think like the whole weight of my body is basically on my chest when it happens. I don't like it...

if i take a deep breath it really hurts.. gotta be calm for a few seconds or a minute and it goes away.
