Sold a brand new HP laptop to a guy about a month ago. He emails me saying the dvd drive doesn't work and needs a receipt so he can get it replaced. He has tried everything but nothing works and tells me the part is like $300 with exchange and $500 without????? I end up sending him the receipt and he gets HP to finally agree to replace the drive after trying 20 thousand different things, but they don't have it in stock so he has to send the laptop in. I feel really really bad but theirs nothing I can do. The guy's really nice but he could just buy another similiar drive off Ebay or somewhere else for a little money and less hassle but i guess he didn't want to or doesn't how to replace it. I even considered pitching a little money in. If he gets the laptop back and it's worse then before I'm going to feel worse then I do now. Oh well, nothing I can do.
