He knows if he was tailgating...

I'm not so sure, but I'm sure 75MPH is already fast enough, and the top speed limit everywhere I've ever heard of in this country.

I just flashed him briefly and was going to pass him, he then decided on being an an a$$ and cutting me off from lane to lane. I don't like using the horn because it makes it worse.

You flashed him? With your high beams? Why'd you do that? That's probably why he was pissed off. If he was in the right lane, why flash him? Unless I'm not understanding the situation now...

Yeah, I flashed him, and it probably pissed him off further. I was pissed that he was braking. We both acted like idiots, I don't deny that.

Doesn't justify vigilantism.

Ever drive in the Bay Area? Maybe I was tailgating, I didn't think I was though.

Not too long ago I was in a Best Buy parking lot and was behind an elderly lady stopping to let some people cross when all of a sudden the guy behind me blares his damn horn. I stick my head out the window and say WTF ya' F************************! and give him the finger.
My wife and are were going to the pet shop next door. We get out of our car and start walking and the guy pulls up next to us and get's out of his wussy mobile (teal convertible crap car) and starts Cussing at me asking why I did that!!! I responded........ If you're in so much of a F***in' hurry, goto Kmart MF'er! He cussed on stating I should'nt have done that but I told him to throw away his cell phone, not be in such a damn hurry, pay attention and go HOME! BYE!........... I walked away 🙂

You people on cell phones are so f***in' rude sometimes! Well, MAKE THAT ALL THE TIME!

CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?????????? **LMAO**

Oh, I thought you meant you flashed him before he hit the brakes. Flashing him was justified.

I'm not going to be riding somebody's ass if they're already going 75MPH. By the time they're pissed off enough to brake check somebody, nothing they do after that would surprise me.

One time, I was coming down the hill from Nevada back to Sacramento. There was traffic in front of me and a bunch of Semi's on the right lane, all moving slow, so I had nowhere better to be, than the lane I was in.
I look in my rear view and there was this guy driving a Chevy pickup...and, he was just inches off my bumper, swerving back and forth, as if he thought he was gonna go anywhere. This went on for about 4 miles. I mean, what did the guy really expect me to do?

Anyway, traffic finaly clears up and I'm past the Semi's, so I move right, figuring I'd get this jerk off my butt. Well, he pulls up next to me and just kinda hangs there at the same speed as me, holding up a pistol. He stayed right next to me for what seemed like a solid minute, then he dropped down a gear, revved his engine, let out the clutch and started burning rubber, fishtailing, etc. He almost lost it and took out a small car that was next to him. This look like a 40 something person too, not a young kid. 🙁

Ok, ok, I was "tailgating". Happy? Now you can bask in your elite status as uncovering the truth of the entire situation. :cookie:

 Wow, that's pretty scary. Luckily, it wasn't that bad.

One time I was at a stop sign. The car coming opposite stopped too. He then turned on his high beam, so I tapped mine very quickly just as a friendly reminder. He turned his off around when I just tapped it and then he turned it back on. I was like "uhhh dude I did a quick tap to show you yours is on and now you leave yours on at me?"

Ok that was nothing. I don't get too raged while driving, but I'm sure a lot of people got raged at me when I lined up with 2 other cars on the highway going south from Stanfurd Univ. I finished work and we jammed up the left lane going 55 and we lined up with cars in the 3rd and 2nd lanes so no one could pass (well they could if they went all the way right), and since there's no carpool lane in San Mateo county for a while, no one could do crap and there was a HUGE line behind us. Finally the carpool lane appeared as we entered Santa Clara county and then bam like 20 commuters pulled into the carpool lane (violation) and passed me. Some convertible with some balding white guy thought he was the sh!t with his 2 ugly slutty ladies in the car and gave us the finger. I floored it in my super slow minivan and I cut him off before exiting. Ok, I was mean.

I've got a few stories, but I'm usually the "bad guy". Couple weeks ago some DUMB BITCH decided to simultaneously change lanes through a turn. I was in the outside lane she cut into. I honked, pulled up next to her and gave her both barrels. She's damn lucky I didn't just let her clip my truck! A sound tongue lashing peppered liberally with profanity was getting off easy.

I hate when people change lanes in the middle of a turn. :| Another one I see all the time is idiots who don't think ahead and get in a lane that prevents them from getting where they need to go, just because it's shorter. Then they cut people off and force their way in. I let them have it.

  1. What stopped you from passing in the first place? 😕

Well, I was about to pass him from the second lane since traffic was merging. I moved to the second lane where he was at from the first lane. He was going slow compared to the flow of traffic, so as I'm about to move into the third lane, he brakes at 70-75 mph with nobody in front of him. I can't pass him, since I have to brake now. Eventually, I move into the third lane and he cuts me off in the third lane and starts braking again. Every lane I moved into, he blocked me by accelerating too. Rather unpleasant experience, but I guess you have to expect it.

When he braked, you should have been able to accelerate and move into the other lane and go around him. If you couldn't, you were too close.

When he broke hard at 75 mph, it's rather hard to look over and pass while you have to brake as well. It's a lot different than braking at 30 mph. This is a major freeway too. Maybe we both messed up since he went from lane to lane blocking me after that.

Why do you need to look over...if you were ready to merge you should have already been aware of the traffic and the looking part would be over...all you would need to do is properly utilize your rearview to make sure nobody moved over from behind you.

lol, you're going to debate this with me?

No, simply point out errors so that you can improve your driving skills.

lol, were you there? I love how making a thread about road rage stories turns into a debate on my driving, only in OT. I guess, according to you, it's perfectly ok for him to go lane to lane and brake since I was supposedly, "tailgating". It's also ok for him to brake on the freeway because I was supposedly "tailgating". Give me a break.

No...I never said that. Of course that asn't okay for him to do...it was stupid.
