Ever experience Road Rage?

So I was driving on the freeway this evening, and was about to pass this guy. Well, he puts his brakes on at 75 mph, with nobody in front of him. I flash him, as if to say WTF since it's dangerous to brake on the freeway. He then moves in front of me to the lane I'm moving into and brakes again. Any lane I went to, he tried to block me. Eventually, I exit and glance over at him and he gestures with the 1 finger salute.

Anyone have any road rage stories?

Well, I was about to pass him from the second lane since traffic was merging. I moved to the second lane where he was at from the first lane. He was going slow compared to the flow of traffic, so as I'm about to move into the third lane, he brakes at 70-75 mph with nobody in front of him. I can't pass him, since I have to brake now. Eventually, I move into the third lane and he cuts me off in the third lane and starts braking again. Every lane I moved into, he blocked me by accelerating too. Rather unpleasant experience, but I guess you have to expect it.

I wasn't tailgating him, I had my signal on and was going to enter the fast lane. He broke within a split second of me entering the lane. I was decelerating since I was at a fast speed due to a truck merging. Please don't try turning it around, since you had to be there. But who knows, maybe he thought I was, maybe not.

Yes every day, I wish I had a rocket launcher attached to my car, Id blow the ****** out of so many people.

I also have bicycle rage, I throw old used batteries at bad drivers.

When he braked, you should have been able to accelerate and move into the other lane and go around him. If you couldn't, you were too close.

hell yeah its all about stealing the crowbar. That thing makes the best thunk when you knock someone off their bike. The cattleprod is good times too, nothing like electricuting someone and having them smash into a cow at 100mph.

I have been on both sides of the Rage. It's an ugly thing no matter which side you're on.

When he broke hard at 75 mph, it's rather hard to look over and pass while you have to brake as well. It's a lot different than braking at 30 mph. This is a major freeway too. Maybe we both messed up since he went from lane to lane blocking me after that.

When I was bike couriering this guy cut me off to make a right, except he slams on his brakes at the last sec. before his turn, even though he was clear to continue. I slam on my brakes, clip his bumper, get off the bike, give him the finger, then pick my bike up over my head and almost throw it on his hood. Man did I want to throw that bike on his car.

Anyway, he gets out and, as my luck would entail, turns out to be this 6'8" built black dude(I think he played in the CFL or NFL or something). We argued, argued some more, and that was it. I'm sure if we weren't right Downtown in rush-hour the outcome could have been much different.

Agree, luckily I let it go, a lot of people have been killed over it.

Why do you need to look over...if you were ready to merge you should have already been aware of the traffic and the looking part would be over...all you would need to do is properly utilize your rearview to make sure nobody moved over from behind you.

If I was in the situation I wouldn't have changed lanes without checking my blind spot, and I wouldn't check my blind spot with someone braking erratically in front of me.

TNM93, you have a horn for a reason! Don't take your hand off it until he stops being a dick.

As I said...if you were going to merge...you should have checked the blind spot already and been aware of the traffic already...if you hadn't done that then yes, brake and don't merge, but from what he was saying he had his blinker on and was ready to move over.

No, simply point out errors so that you can improve your driving skills.

I just flashed him briefly and was going to pass him, he then decided on being an an a$$ and cutting me off from lane to lane. I don't like using the horn because it makes it worse.

 Who cares when he put his blinker on vs. when he checked his blind spot? Does it really matter what order you do it in? He was in the situation, you were not. He knows what he did. He knows if he was tailgating. Give him a freaking break.

I always check my blind spot immediately before I change lanes regardless of if I've already checked it. Things can change in a short period of time. A guy from two lanes over might be right next to you when you start to move over.

Sounds like me. I gas it when people try passing on the right if it's going to take me less than 10 seconds to pass the next car that is on the right.

And I have a truck. I'd love for someone to do that to me, because I wouldn't be stopping.

You flashed him? With your high beams? Why'd you do that? That's probably why he was pissed off. If he was in the right lane, why flash him? Unless I'm not understanding the situation now...

lol, were you there? I love how making a thread about road rage stories turns into a debate on my driving, only in OT. I guess, according to you, it's perfectly ok for him to go lane to lane and brake since I was supposedly, "tailgating". It's also ok for him to brake on the freeway because I was supposedly "tailgating". Give me a break.
