I was simply looking to find out if the Crest Pro Health rinse is any better than just plain old Scope. Well, they address Scope in their FAQ, but hard to tell whether it's really any better or not. (Seemingly so as they claim Scope's anti-bad breath and theirs is anti-plaque/gingivitis, but I dunno for sure)

I use the generic version.......(yup, they've already got generics available for the Pro Health rinse).........so I ain't too worried about price too much, but certainly a generic Scope is cheaper.

So then I go looking at their flosses, whiteners & manual toothbrushes...........GEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZ LOUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!! :Q

They got products on top of products, etc. etc.

They've got like 4 "whitestrips" and 2 that are almost exactly the same! (Renewals vs. Premium) Why so many??? Why 2 identical versions???

Then the toothpastes. Gimme a break!!! Aside from there being a bazillion flavors, they've now included "Whitening Expressions" and really don't tell what the difference is beween THAT style & any of their others with whitening stuff in it. Why so friggin' many??? Which to use????

THEN........toothbrushes!!!! Forget about it! You might as well spend all day & night brushing with all the different toothpastes, toothbrushes and whitening kits. In about 6 months and with your tooth enamel completely brushed off and your gums completely eroded from your jawbone!!!! :p

All I wanted was some help on "Whitestrips".....now I'm on information overload!!

The toothbrush industry is ridiculous to me - they get more and more teched out every day. Soon they will all cost $100.

Now that's a little more like it!! I knew the morning ATOT crowd could throw some coin into the drawer!!! :p

Ya, it's basically a rant.

The crest website actually does a poor job of comparing even their own products. I will give them credit for showing an x-ray type shot of teeth & gums using their Pro Health Care rinse vs. just brushing alone over a 24hr period, but that's only as good as I'd have expected. What I'd like to see is the difference between PHC and just regular old Scope...(or Listerine for that matter) ;)

And I still don't get the difference between Crest "Renewal" white strips and the "Premium". They both

#1.) last 18 months
#2.) take 10 days
#3.) include 20 uppers & 20 lowers
#4.) cost $39.99

Well, they offer a $7 coupon on the website for the "Renewal" version. But maybe that only makes it a "cheaper" (i.e. cheezier) product???

And what about the "Vivid White" toothpaste. Is that better or worse than using strips??

I just think it's friggin' hilarious. Talk about the need to 'streamline' or 'downsize'!!

And, yes,............just a rant.
