Ever been so good at a game people think you're cheating?

Happened a few times in Deus Ex because the newbies didn't know how to activate augmentations, and thus accused me of cheating when their rockets blew up in mid-air.

It's happened to me in Soldat, a really fun free game that unfortunately doesn't have the best network/server support right now. By default, votekicking is enabled, and if you are votekicked it automatically bans you from the server. Pretty lame.

Also happened in Quakeworld back when I was good at it... not so much anymore

Call of duty, on average i pull off 50-10.
low ave. 22-6
high ave. 69-9

kinda looks awkward when everyone else is 10-25 but hey, there are more bad players than good.

Uh, they don't play on public servers; that's how they do it.

Why don't you come play a game with real skill involved like UT2k4

Happened to me in Tactical Ops (old school) once or twice. I've been banned from America's Army too for playing the game like it's supposed to cause little sh*ts on assault bunny hop and you blow them up with cover fire.... Had 24 kills and 0 death but got banned caused I blew up the admin (who I believe was perhaps 12 years old)

I think it's easy for younger players to get angry and think you are cheating when they can't win sometimes. But yea, def in UT2004 maybe some others.

People accused me of AutoAim hack on Diablo II all the time. It's a compliment really, obviously you're so good they think you're hacking.

Been accused in most all FPS'ers UT series,CS:S and old version,Action Quake,ect. What I hate is when FF is on and teammates decide they want to be pricks and start killing you. I had more kills than anyone on my team and some reject starts shooting at me. I don't think he was trying to kill me just piss me off enough to kill him. Then after a couple times I get kicked and/or explode the next round.

hasn't happenned to me, but my friend was banned from his favorite cs server a few years ago, leading him to give me his copy of the game. he was actually on a professional cs playing team that's ranked 3rd in the usa

I used to get God-like on UT where I would never die and run the table. I'd get called a cheater a lot. But the server was my friend's and the people that called me a cheater were one time only players. There were a lot of regulars on the server that would back me up though.

Too bad we lost the server on 9/11

I joined a CS game once and went to grab a drink while it connected. I joined mid-match to start with, and my thirst caused me to sit at the CT spawn point ( cs_office) like a stooge.

Everyone else died, except FIVE T's. Buy time expired. I've got a USP and three clips. That's it.

I killed the whole team a couple times in Socom2 but the only game I've been THAT good at consistently was NFL 2K1 on the Dreamcast. Back then cheating wasn't really considered a viable excuse as to why you just got 1337 pWn3d.

When I was playing a lot of BF1942 I got accused of cheating sometimes. When I've had a really good night, I've been accused of having an aimbot (which is funny since there are NO aimbots that really work in BF). What's funnier though is when somebody would accuse me of using a radar hack to know where they are just because my tank was pointing away from them when they peeked out of a building. I guess they didn't realize that you can change your view and see behind your tank.

But it's MOH:AA that I really got accused of cheating all the time. I got pretty good with the sniper rifle. Not quite as good as my buddy though. Sometimes when he was sniping, he'd end up like 50-2.

Used to a lot in CS but I now have a server where I can play with people fairly as good as me and so they know I don't cheat. However I do pull off some shots that get people pissed off, like on dust in the sniper nest, jump up for a sec to see where they are at underpass then should them in the head through the ledge.

I've played UT2K4 about a year back, but it got boring. I actually think there is more skill in games liek CoD, BF and BFV and CS because of tactics and stealth rather than flak cannon your way through atalus

Wow, I must suck. I'll be the first in the thread to admit I've never been accused of cheating/hacking. However, that's not to say that I do not do well in any online game I play. I often do very well in all that I play, but I do have obvious weeknesses in each. Sometimes they are exposed more than other times.

I was sometimes kicked because I sucked at the game so bad (Counterstrike). My reaction time was just pathetic most of the time. A few times, I'd actually manage a 1:1 killeath ratio, but that wasn't often. Was fun though when it happened.

I've been accused of cheating in Quake and Quake 3. And not on public servers either.
