Ever accidentally meet a forum member in real life?

Years ago I was working at a Best Buy and someone came in because he'd read about a pricing mistake we had in the Hot Deals forum (A $200 mp3 player was in the system for $20). Funny thing is, the 3 people who were working the department that morning had already bought out the ones we had.
 
I saw a fat, nerdy Asian guy reading Anandtech video card reviews once on a laptop in calculus I lecture, but I didn't ask him to figure out which fat, nerdy Asian guy he was.
 
I ran into Mucman on the train one day way back when he used to post here. I didn't say anything, then came home and posted about it. He said he almost spit out his cheerios.

When I was on Vacation in Florida I went to a fast food place and there was this big fat sweaty guy in there scarfing down a bunch or burgers. Pretty sure it was Fear No Evil.
 
Dear GOD no. And, I wouldn't want to.

I don't even visit these forums on the weekend. Why would I want to meet ANYONE from here in person??

Also, most of you probably don't even have paved roads leading up to town,... or "lot" I guess.
 
I posted on FS/FT, and a guy PM'd me saying he lived 15 minutes away. Ended up doing a local sale so yes I have met an AT'er before in RL.
 
I get found out pretty frequently ... gaming ... out and about. They call me vivi, and I respond 😀.

It was my nickname in high school, when I was playing CAL I/P in CS, haha....stuck with me, so people still call me vivi.

Nope but there a few I'd like to meet for sure...though that's not really the topic at hand.
 
Not this forum, at least not that I know of, but on a different forum. Still haven't mentioned it to them either, saving that one for a special amusement day.
 
The only other member of AT I have met IRL is my cousin-in-law. He is a huge lurker catch, BTW.

I have not knowingly met any other AT members, though there are a few who live within a reasonable distance (L.A. meet-up anyone?).

I went to CES as a representative/mod/reviewer of Sudhian a few years ago and met the sites owner and a few other mods/reviewers for the first time. I met a few reps of Shuttle Computer who were members on Sudhian, too.

Nope. I actually have not met anyone who posts here. Granted my age group, early 20s, don't usually use forums. I seem to be the exception in my circles of friends.
